The Hon.President of World federation of Occupational therapists, Mrs.Merilyn Pattison and her team from UK and Australia arrived Sri Lanka on 10th January 2016. On 11th January they visited Rheumatology and Rahabilitation Hospital in Ragama to meet the Members of Sri Lanka Society of Occupational Thrapists.
The Director of Ragama RRH, the Dean of faculty of medicine Prof .Nilanthi de Silva, the President Of SLSOT Mr.Nimal Liayange, the Secretory of SLSOT Mr. Padum Yapa, Ex.Principal of school of OT & PT Mrs.Nandanee Samaranayake and many other senior therapits of RRH & NHSL as well as the tutors and the students of School of Occupational Therapy also participated in this ceremony.
Hon. President of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists Mrs.Marilyn Pattison visited the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Specialized Children's Hospital of Peradeniya on 16th January 2016. There was a bid welcome for her and the team members by the Director of the SBSCH Dr. D.R.K. Herath and the Chief Occupational Therapist Mr. Wajira Galahawela.
She visited the Occupational Therapy Unit and the Physiotherapy unit too. There was a discussion with the hospital director at the hospital conference room.
Deputy Director of the SBSCH, Chief Physiotherapist Mr. Buddhika Senevirathne, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists of the SBSCH also attended the event.
